How to use

1. Open Samsara and navigate to the Assets tab.
2. Apply the following filters:
   • Under Tags, select the appropriate contract number.
   • Under Gateway, select Gateway Paired.
3. Select the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the Samsara page, then select Export to CSV.
4. Open the CSV file exported from Samsara. Then download and open the asset-label template below:

5. Before copying any information, select Column A in the Samsara CSV and format it as Text. This helps prevent Excel from removing leading zeros from unit names.
6. Copy the following information from the Samsara CSV and paste it into the corresponding columns in the template:
   • Unit name
   • VIN
   • Year, make, and model
   • Route or contract tag
   • Samsara Gateway ID
   Do not change or delete the template's header row.
7. Enter a vendor for every vehicle. If a vehicle is company-owned, enter Owned in the Vendor column.
8. Review all unit names that begin with zero. If Excel removed any leading zeros, correct the affected unit names before saving.
9. Save the completed template as a CSV file. Then drag and drop it into the Asset Labels CSV upload area.
10. Review every label in the label preview and confirm that all information is correct.
11. Once everything has been verified, select Print All Labels and complete the printing process.
